As previously reported, Dipset Capo Jim Jones will be showing up at the Manhattan Criminal Court today. The appearance deals with his alleged altercation with Ne-Yo’s manager Jayvon Smith last Christmas.

According to XXLmag.com, Jones’ attorney Scott E. Leemon is looking forward to seeing the trial postponed. “I expect the judge to set a new motion schedule based on the D.A.’s failure to respond to my discovery request,” he stated.

Jimmy’s day, which also features the release of his fourth studio album Pray IV Reign [click to read], will continue with an album signing from 4-6 pm at Union Square’s Virgin Megastore. Fans eager to meet Jones will have to purchase his new album as well as obtain a wristband prior to the signing.

Following the album signing, Jones will finish his promo run for Tuesday with a performance of his acclaimed theatrical play, Hip-Hop Monologues: Inside the Life and Mind of Jim Jones. The performance starts at 8 pm, and will continue throughout the week. Tickets cost $40 and are available at ticketmaster.com or at the 37 Arts Theatre box office.
