Funkghost - "Caviar Taste" LP 2014

Image
Posted on December 1, 2014 by deadendhiphop Hip Hop has always been motivated by “taste”. Fans can tell the mentality, maturity and mission of an artist according to their taste in culture, music, fashion and other things. Lately, within the game, many artists have left “bad tastes” within the culture’s mouth. It seems as though everyone is doing the same thing and not striving for anything different. Every now and then, there comes a artist that comes to polarize our palate. At this time, it’s Funk Ghost bringing us Caviar Taste. Funk Ghost brings out fun within the fundamentals of a track. Every track on the project has single potential. Not only are they fun, but also come equipped with clever bars that make hip hop fans fall in love with hip hop. He nails giving the ladies a anthem with “What You Need (I got it)”, letting the ladies know that there is no worries when you’re with him. Funk Ghost gives his best and compassionate bars on “Dear Lord” asking God to watch over him

Hillsborough gets 2 from Bloomingdale By DON BANKS; BRIAN LANDMAN Published April 11, 1990 Forward Darrin Richardson and guard Alvin Harris , both of Bloomingdale, have made verbal commitments to sign with Hillsborough Community College, Bulls basketball coach Phil Zimmerman said Tuesday. Today is the first day of the spring signing season, the month-long period when high school seniors can sign basketball, baseball or softball scholarships. Richardson and Harris, important cogs in Bloomingdale's all-senior lineup that went 25-5 and won its second straight Western Conference National Division crown, will make their commitment official by siging with the Falcons some time in the coming weeks, HCC coach Joe Patton said. "They've committed to us and we've committed to them," Patton said. "We're looking forward to having them both here. They come from an outstanding program. We know they're good quality players." Alcoholism/Addiction/Substance Abuse...My Personal Struggle

Image
When I look at this picture, which was taken back in 2008 . I see a person who did not know how much his life, career, and personal relationships, would be damaged 15yrs later by Substance Abuse & Addiction . It has been a slow, gradual, and progressivley worse condition for me. Since around 1991 (32 yrs ago to date), when I first started Black Saturday/TGP/Funkghost ect... Drinking, Partying, Smoking, has always been a part of the music creation. I look back and realize I never needed any of those substances to make cool Hip-Hop records. Substance Abuse runs in my family ( especially on my Mother's ) side. At age 50, my lifestyle choices need to change. Lilani & Anastazia ...If you ever see this, stay away from Drugs, Alchohol, & Cigarettes .You don't need it. I know Daddy wasn't the greatest example and I pray you both will learn from my mistakes.

USF opens up with hip-hop concert By MICHAEL PATRICK WELCH Published Aug. 27, 1999 St. Petersburg Times This is the week when USF's Tampa campus makes its annual transition from the ghost town of summer to the fresh-faced, fast-paced, bustling campus of the fall semester. Ushering in the season will be progressive Atlanta hip-hop outfit, Goodie Mob . In league with the Dungeon Family clique (which includes Grammy winners, OutKast ) and production team, Organized Noize (OutKast, TLC, Witchdoctor, Cool Breeze), Goodie Mob is exemplary of the sound of Southern hip-hop: rapid-fire lyrics of black Southern living over futuristic yet down-home beats. While other groups pull their hooks out of the Motown catalog, Goodie Mob and The Dungeon Family rarely sample anyone but their own live musicians, giving their funky music an organic feel. Though normally accompanied by a kickin' live band, this show at the Special Events Center will feature only the rappers and their deejay.

Me, Shandina & Shock G/Humpty Hump circa 2015 .... When I first moved to Tampa FL in 1986 I was introduced to the sounds of Digital Underground by Legendary WMNF 88.5 FM On Air Personality Kenneth "DJ Kenny K" Waters . I believe the 1st jam from them i heard on the airwaves was Underwater Ryhmes back in 1987. Flash foward 2 yrs later after inking a major deal with Tommy Boy Records and the release of Digital Underground's debut LP "Sex Packets" , world wide success soon followed. Rest in Power Shock G/Humpty Hump
