Rick Ross' Album Pushed Back
March 4th, 2009 | Author: Slava Kuperstein Much like his 2008 release Trilla , Rick Ross' Deeper Than Rap has been pushed back.
The album was slated for a March 24th release. Now, a representative from Def Jam says that the album will be hitting stores at a later date - much like rival 50 Cent's.
There's no shortage of controversy surrounding the album, as beef between 50 Cent and Ross resulted from Ross' song "Mafia Music" . However, it doesn't appear that the beef was enough to get the album in stores in a timely fashion.
Ross' previous album suffered delays due to lukewarm responses for the lead single.

Alot of people dont know this but, In the early 1990's Edwin Birdsong served as one of my first mentors in the studio.I was able to soak music production and song composition. It's funny cause at the time Edwin's star had long since faded in the industry and I really didn't fully appreciate the jewels bieng dropped on me until i got much older. I knew he had collaborated wth Roy Ayers and was a bit awe struck at the time especially finding out he wrote and co-produced the classic Roy Ayers Disco era hit "Runing Away" sampled by Tribe Called Quest on "Peoples Instictive Travels and the paths of rhythm" but bieng young and bullheaded we soon parted ways and i have not seen him in person since. 2023 Hitting Rock Bottom = 2024 A New Start

Dec 31st 2023 I hit Rock Bottom due to my years long struggle with alcholosim. Today Jan 2nd 2024, I am broke,homeless,jobless,no car,and about to check in to an alcholism treatment center. I pray for recovery from this disease. I pray that I can overcome with treatment. Mostly, I pray to be a better father to my 2 daughters who I love dearly. Amen
